In the early 1980s, Oliver Todd made a couple of dozen recordings at Desert Sounds and Pantheon Recording Studios in Phoenix, Arizona.​ Sandy Lamont and Scott Ebright were the principal session musicians for the sessions, both of them helping produce the finished demos.

In 1982 the group released Dream Street / Going Down as a single. It got airplay and Oliver did an interview on KUPD, and for one shining week, it was #12 on the local charts at the Tower Records on Mill Road near Arizona State University.
